Hello!

How do I get my 6 year old to stay in her bed? For the last month she is continually getting out of bed. Prior to this has always been a great sleeper. Nothing has changed at home. I have been to the school who have said there is nothing going on there and no behaviour changes or problems. She just seems to stall. I get excuses like, “I’m not tired”, “I’m thirsty”, “I’m hot”, “I’m cold” etc.
We have a sticker reward chat, have taken away her ipad as punishment and other things. She will be up anywhere from 5 – 15 times in the first hour that she is put to bed. So frustrated!

  • Maybe she needs less sleep? What about letting her go to bed half an hour later and see if that makes the difference?
