  • a small variety of different veg should be good

  • I put a chicken carcass into a slow cooker, chop up the bones so all the goodness leeches out, and let it stew for a day or so on low. I add celery, carrot, bay leaf, ginger, garlic. Then I drain it all, and add more veggies to the broth. Yum!

  • I used to put chicken breast, grated carrot, peas,(anything easyily boiled other that potato or pumpkin ) add ! litreof chicken stock and some of water for it to cook in.. then i used to strain out the liquid and put meat mix in a blender till really fine.. i would then divide into ice cube trays. then add back in some of the stock to the portion not to be frozen.. and serve..
Later for the frozen blocks i would add some water and chicken stock to loosen the food up a little.. then it can be served as a soup or as a meal for bubs.. ( you could even freeze left over liquid in small amounts

  • Personallu I would not put garlic or onion in baby’s soup. Both of them can cause wind and discomfort for a baby regardless of age. Until they are toddlers can tell you how they feel and where the discomfort we need to consider that fact. Pumpkin, sweet potato and ordinary potoatoes shouldn’t be an issue. Pureed carrot shouldn’t be an issue but babies definitely do not digest raw or cooked crisp carrots (you will find the evidence in soiled nappy). (I apologise if you are eating while reading this)

  • Pumpkin soup great I roast pumpkin half with skins on with a little sweet potato & a clove of garlic then blitz it with chicken stock & water put it little containers freeze heat up when I need it when bub can eat alittle texture great for blw I cook up rice & add it to the pumpkin soup to change the texture

  • Use a variety of veggies and boil them in water, until you have a good flavour. You could also make some mini meatballs and put these in. Once cooked you could puree it so its a think soup or add some tiny pasta.
