Hello!

I have tried metho, goof off, magic eraser, turps, hot soapy water, graffiti wipes. And still can’t get the stain off :-( I’m in a rental so I’m freaking out.

  • Yes, I would also go for scraping. When you don’t succeed, I would suggest to seek advice at Bunnings at the paint desk

  • Sometimes you can gently scrape the paint off using something like the side of a butter knife.

  • Oh no, sounds like you’ve tried absolutely everything and failed. Maybe your landlord won’t be too upset about it

  • Try nail polish remover, my mum is in a rental and i was dying my hair and got dye on the floor boards! Frraked out and tried everything in the house, then came across nail polish and thought id give that ago, it got it out, fluked that one, good luck!

  • Second the butter knife idea, I’ve done that and have managed to remove most of the top of the paint stain.

  • I have heard of ammonia being used but not sure how to use it. Dad used to use it on squid ink stains on his vinyl boat seats. I used a watered down bleach on a rag for one I had here. Not sure exactly what the stain was. It was here when we moved in. I had to leave the rag on the stain for a few hours but it did a pretty good job.

  • Try scraping it off gently using something like a butter knife. Stay close to the surface and don’t dig in too deeply or you’ll cut the vinyl. Good luck.
