Hello!

Our lawn is destroyed due to birds pecking for bugs and pulling up clumps of grass. Now our lawn has divets and patches of loose grass everywhere. It’s horrible. How can I stop birds destroying our lawn?

  • A hawk is the way to go,it should stop the birds!

  • I look forward to hearing the replies – minor birds are menaces at ours

  • I agree with the fake hawk idea,, you can get ones that make sounds also

  • Maybe those pinwheels that spin in the wind might keep then away, they are at kmart.

  • If you have lawn beetless they will eat the roots of your grass and you will end up with dead patches of lawn. That is the most like cause as the birds are digging them up to eat. Get rid of the beetles with the right product the birds will only look for little insects not plunge their beaks into the lawn and make holes all over it. Bunnings have products. Some staff have great knowledge of garden plants and problem remedies. Garden Centres are of course another option but often premium prices too.

  • Get rid of lawn grub and they should go away

  • I was wondering this myself so i’m off to bunnings

  • We have a fake hawk that we bought from bunnings. It hangs and of course moves in the wind and keeps the birds away from our pool area. Perhaps you need a few hung around your yard
