Hello!

Since puberty I thought my skin had broken out in acne. Now they have diagnosed me with a common skin disease. How do you cope when something happens like this?

  • You have your breakdown, cry scream retreat from the world. Then you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get on with it. I would google it to find out as much as possible about it. There may be different ways to help control it

  • Is it treatable? As long as you can fix it, it doesn’t seem to be too big if a deal

  • Keep trying different treatments and hopefully you’ll find something that works.

  • I would do my own research on it. And seek help from a specialist. I wish you all the best.

  • It is very frustrating to go so long with no answer but now you have one you can try to find something to manage your condition.
If you don’t already have one, get a dermatologist. They will be able to help you with products that will keep your skin under control.
See if you can find a online support group for people who have your condition & speak with others who know what you’re going through. They will be able to offer you advice & suggestions.
    Good luck.

  • It may have come as a bit of a shock but on the positive side, you now have an answer so you can start working on a solution! All the best

  • Sorry you had to go for so long with a misdiagnosis, try to look at it in another way, you now have the right diagnosis and hopefully you can receive the correct treatment, all the best to you.

  • I research and see professionals. You might be able to get things cleared up now that you know what it is.

  • I would do my own research and direct any questions to your doctor for support and help in what you can do to prevent it and or cure it. good luck.

  • Last year I had for months what I thought was acne. Then it got really bad and I finally went to theDr and was told I had rosacea. It was horrible. Makeup wouldn’t even cover it. I was so self conscious. I took the medication for a month before I had any improvement. I am still taking the medication 5 months later. It got me down at first. I did do a lot of research on it. After a while I tried to pretend it wasn’t there if I went out.

  • I am sorry to hear EducAte yourself as much as you can to see what Yu can do diet and exercise wise
