Hello!

My Buffalo lawn is very patchy, with lots of dead/sandy areas and I’ve been told to use Eco Grub on it. Any other suggestions?

  • This has also happened to my lawn well its dirt now I have no green grass at all in my backyard and its been like that now for like a year I have not done anything as I was unsure of what to use

  • gotta kill the grub infestation, then aerate lawn, water it heaps and fertilise. Grass will grow back

  • I would take a sample of your grass to a garden centre and ask for advice. Also; take some photos to show them too. Best to be sure before you spray anything on your grass.

  • Hi I do remember using soapy water for the lawn grub and it worked, that was years ago, but its worth a try before you purchase anything. We just had buckets of soapy water amd poured them around the area of lawn affected, or you could wash your car over that spot. Good luck!

  • Best stuff to use on buffalo grass is “buffalo master”. It can be hard to find but worth every cent.

    Have you topsoiled recently?

It’s like any living thing…needs love and attention.

  • cool, ill check it out. got the scotts stuff, red bag. I know it teats ants which we have

  • Dig out a area say 30cm square with your shovel break up the patch on some newspaper and see what you find. If you find the beetle then get the correct product. ** Be sure the product it right for Buffalo Grass! ** Otherwise it could kill all your grass. Good Garden Center’s will have Horticulture Specialist’s there who could advise you. Be sure before you spray.
