I was just making a quiche and had some egg shell fall into the bowl. It took me what seemed like ages to get it out. Wondering what tips and tricks others have on the best way to get egg shell out?

  • cool I’m trying the shell next time

  • I am terrible as well with egg shells and no matter how careful , there is always the one bit that still falls in the bowl. Fingers are useless in sliding them out. The best tool is a pointy teaspoon ( normal one if none ) and just scoop it out against the side of the bowl . It never fails and it is much easier to do than using fingers .

  • Using the broken egg shell as a scoop works best

  • use the egg shell to get it out it seems to be easiest like it is drawn to the broken shell

  • I like to use my finger as it gets the best grip on the egg shell

  • I use the some of the other egg shell; it works like a spoon/scoop to scoop out the egg shell.

  • just wet your finger and it will stick to it

  • Use a piece of egg shell to collect .it sticks to it so easy to pick

  • you another piece of eggshell it’s like a magnet and will get it out no hassles

  • Use the actual egg shell, It works a wonder

  • Use the egg shell to collect it! It’s like a magnet :)

  • I usually crack eggs one at a time into a small bowl then tip them into the mixture.

If one does slip in I use the cleaner half of the eggshell to catch it…. Not sure why it seems to work better than other methods… Just seems to.

  • I always use the egg shell to get broken bits out. works great for me

  • I use a teaspoon. and if i am being a particular clutz I will break the egg open one by one into another container before putting it in with the rest to make sure!!
I have also used a medicine syringe to suction it up.

  • I was always taught to use the egg shell to get out any little bits. It’s sharp and picks it up easier than a spoon or anything. Give it a go!
