When veggies were my sons only option, he loved them. Ever since I’ve given him meats and grains (bread/wholemeal pasta, tuna, chicken etc), he just squishes his veggies up and I can’t get him to eat them, neither steamed, fresh or roasted.. I won’t add salt obviously, and he’s independent so won’t let you feed him puree, and although I’m getting by hiding them in things at the moment, I really would prefer he got used to enjoying eating them plain. Any tips? I’d though about stir-frying them with a smidge of garlic, is that okay for an 8 month old to have a little bit of garlic?

  • Thankyou so much that’s a great idea, like a pasta sauce! Great to know about the garlic too :) we love garlic so it’s good he can have it too!

  • Garlic is fine for babies, very healthy for them. May I suggest you leave the meat, pasta, grain options on his plate as you are already serving them to him. And purée the veggies, then mix the 2 together
