Not sure of the cause, could it be menopause, I’m 46, they are debilitating.

  • Try eliminating things from your diet to see if it reduces them gluten dairy sugar msg is a bad one for me


  • A friend of mine must take medication and lie down in a dark room to over-come them!


  • sadly, only drugs, son and ex hubby have like a stroke with their migraines, it is heartbreaking and as it is a blood vessel that spasms, not much helps x My son did say, if we get it early enough with drugs, some peppermint oil on his temples helps lull him to sleep x


  • You might want to avoid stimulants like caffeine, alcohol also.

    if anything is causing them to be
    pain killers ,dark room and sleep if you can

  • I am 46 in June and having symptoms of early menopause. I have always suffered from headaches and the occasional migraine – usually when I have PMT. Nasty, hormonal headaches are awful and could be what you are having. It would be worthwhile talking to your doctor and getting a check-up.

    I find that sitting with my feet in very warm to hot water with a cold pack on my forehead or the back of my neck can really ease nasty headaches – especially if I get in early. it helps to draw blood away from the head and gives relief quickly.


  • If its tension from your neck get someone to give you a deep neck massage it usually helps me. A dr told that botox is being used succesfully with migrane sufferers.


  • Ask your doctor, I take prescription medication for mine. It works.


  • Firstly you must visit your doctor and let him/her know you are suffering migraines. Make a log as to how frequent you are suffering them and for how long they last. It might be a good idea to visit a Menopause Clinic to see where you are at with your perimenopause. Make sure you are hydrated by drinking plenty of water. Stay relaxed in a darkened room as this may help. Wearing sunnies for any glare. Your doctor will suggests the best type of medication for your condition. Wishing you good health.
