  • I get vouchers from doing lots of different things – flybuys, neilsen home scan, different survey websites.

  • The thing that saves me the Most money is doing most of my grocery shopping at Aldi, Cooking at home also helps, I also do surveys which I earn vouchers for

  • Since you are already using the internet by posting the question here, I’d be doing a search for how to save money. There are some great sites/blogs that are devoted to this topic.

  • my tips would be to join some survey sites as after a while you will accumulate a decent amount that you can use on a variety of things from woolworth to Kmart, bunnings, itune giftcards, etc. The other tip i have is to try and put all your silver/ gold coins into a container and also all the $5 notes and then after a while you will check to count how much money you have and you will have $300 plus to spend on yourself or your family. Having friends come over or going to there house will save you money also as your not having to pay big prices to get a coffee and cake or lunch etc.

  • such great ideas here i would just be repeating others on my suggestions but will be utilising some of these tips for sure

  • Streamline shopping and buy the sales. If you menu plan it might be easier to online shop to really keep to a budget (no impulse buys). I used it as training to show myself how much extra money I spent! Make meals in bulk with what is available on special or marked down and freeze – great also for soups and baking with in season fruits (and you can freeze a lot of fruits too especially berries). Once you start on the freezer food system it is a good idea to do regular clean outs! I had so many meals stashed away that we went for two months with just topping up on milk, bread and fresh fruit/veggies.

  • have friends over rather than going out for coffee / lunch.

  • Op shops are great&fun too &often you will find brand new clothing for the family Bake your childrens snacks for school or kindy etc do surveys for giftvouchers they can take time but are worth it.Im thinking of going through the house and having a garage sale as remember someonelses trash is someonelses treasure.I also do my kidshaircuts myself I just googled how to cut hair&that saves alot of money and any 50c pieces I save you would be shocked at how quick it adds up aslong as you dont raid it :-)

  • There are many survey sites out there at the moment where you can quickly accumulate points to earn either cash or gift cards. I saved mine up and have $300 to use in gift card to buy the girls and family members Christmas gifts.

  • Instead of buying snacks from the supermarkets I make cakes, slices, popcorn and biscuits, much cheaper than buying them and you can also control what your feeding your kids :)

  • Wow some great ideas here. We are trying to save for our wedding but don’t want to have our little ones miss out as well.

  • I go to parks, friend’s houses, we do pay for swimming lessons but it does give us free access to the swimming pool which we also go to during the week, I go to play group which is free, I menu plan so we don’t eat out much and all the tips offered below as well. Oh and we have a baby bazaar in our area which is fantastic for everything baby!

  • Op shops
Coffee mornings at friends houses or yours and everyone brings something
McDonald’s playground and 30 cent cone
Take own food on trips out
    Toy exchanges
    Clothing swap parties
    Share with friends
Sell old stuff on eBay then buy new stuff
    Walk instead driving
    Push bikes
    Recycle shops
Ask for clothes or vouchers for birthdays Christmas etc
Find hairdresser who works from home
Massage beauty therapy etc at training schools

  • Check out the sales, use coupons, vouchers. Invite to your house fir cake and coffee!

  • I am actually having the same trouble :( I try my best to save here and there but it seems like it is not as efficient as others…
