  • There is jewellery cleaning products available at jewellers. You can also get products from body piercing places.

  • I also have not really cleaned my earrings either only wiped them with a damp cloth

  • I never have, but I guess I’d use a disinfectant wipe if I felt the need.

  • Dishwashing liquid is brilliant for cleaning jewellery or l would take to the jewellery store and good ones don’t charge for a clean.

  • You could try bi carb and vinegar, but that might be a bit risky.

  • I just place the jewellery in the palm of my hand and add dishwashing detergent and rub the jewellery gently and then rinse. Simple and it works.

  • I only ever used to soak them in a diluted mix of disinfectant/ dettol type stuff

  • Foil in a bowl – shiny side up, jewellery in, cover with bicarb then pour boiling water.. Shake it around a bit until bubblea subside then rinse! I give items with stones a light scrub aswell with a soft toothbrush

  • I place some methylated spirits in a small bowl and soak for about 5 minutes and then dry them and either put them back in my ears or put them away. Good luck.

  • I usually just swab them with alcohol before I use them.

  • If I get an ear infection I used the traditional ear disinfectant spray which they sell at chemists which is the one they recommend doe newly pierced ears. it is good for the ear and earrings and I use a cotton wool to clean it .

  • It is sufficient to wash your ears during the shower with a facecloth , so you wipe outside and around the opening . If you have a wax builtup which sometimes can happen , you can by a gentle wax oil called Waxsol and it will dissolve it or syringed out by a doctor.

  • these are good tips and i like the home methods! very natural

  • Usually, I use Jewellery cleaner or if desperate a toothbrush with detergent also I have used toothpaste and rub gently rinse under cool water

  • These are great suggestions.
