Hello!

How do you choose a child care centre? I’m returning to work and wondering how to pick the best centre to put my little one year old in. Any tips from other Mums?

  • Walk in without an appointment, to get a true sense of how visitors are greeted. Make a time to go back and have a tour with your child.

  • I did a tour and got a feel of the various centres available and put my name on the waiting list.

  • I googled first for which child care centers there were in our area and phoned them all whether they had places available or not. Then I made a tour and chose for the one which gave the best impression.

  • We spoke to family and friends with kids and visited a couple. We just knew when it felt ‘right’ Our sons been going for almost 2 years now and its perfect for us

  • Good advice! There really interesting comments on this!

  • go for tours and see which one feels the best, meet the carers.

  • I found it was best to make an appointment and have a look around the centre yourself then trust your gut.

  • have u had a look yet how did u go

  • The best way is to go and check them out for yourself, and trust your instincts !

  • head in for a visit

  • Make appointments with several and go for a look, you’ll get a feel for the one that is right for you and your child.

  • I hope you found a good child care centre.

  • It is always helpful if you know other Mums in the area that have had experience with centres there.

  • Good luck and I hope it all worked out for you in the end
