Hello!

How do you clean your baby seat after an accident?

  • I throw the covers in the washing machine and scrub the base including the straps with an desinfecting hot soapy water

  • Pull of the cloth and throw it in the washing machine (for a toilet accident). For pretty much everything else, it doesn’t get cleaned

  • We used a fabric cleaner – Napisan I think – and a lot of warm water.

  • I saw a report of one of the Current Affair shows (not sure which channel) that Babyseats get covered in germs very quickly and should be cleaned regularly. The covers can be removed and washed. (our little darling vomited all over a brand new handknitted jumper onto her carseat when she was only a few months old). Alternatively you could wipe it over with diluted disinfectant or bacterial wipe. If you take the cover off I suggest you clean the inner part of the seat with disinfectant or an antibacterial wipe. Don’t wet t. I suggest using a wipe on the outside of it.

  • i just throw mine into the washing machine, easy

  • yeah take the liner fabric off and wash it or spot clean

  • Ca t say that happened to me luckily but I place a cloth nappy in the car seat in case of accidents as my baby does explosions just in case!!
