Hello!

I have a 3 almost 4yr old, a 15month old & a baby due in less than 6 weeks. How does one cope with 3 kids?

  • One day at the time, one hour at the time, one minute at the time :)

  • be easy on yourself. Know that if the kids watch a lot of tv in a day – that’s ok. If they are not eating absolutely perfectly every meal – that’s ok. If they haven’t had a bath for 4 days – that’s ok. All of these things are not going to hurt them. Maybe you should think about getting those meal delivery services like Hello Fresh or something else. And ask for help and make sure your partner does his/her bit.

  • Congrats and good luck I dont jave three but I agree with the other comment and just be organized and keep it simple let them do things together if you can dont go over the top

  • Congratulations! How exciting for you. I think being organised and keeping it simple and on a schedule will help a lot. Try and plan a head. Good luck

  • I have four kids under 6 and it’s crazy but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My number one advise would be try to stick to a schedule. If you can get meals and naps to be around same time then it will make things a little easier. Good luck and remember before you know it, they’ll be off to school.

  • I’ve just given birth to my third, and have a 4 & 2 year old. My biggest tip would be to learn to accept any help offered. That was my biggest challenge. When you have the energy to cook, cook enough for leftovers. My boys thankfully are mostly happy to play outside all day, so I often just let them be (still keep an eye on them of course, but no helicopter parenting here!). Also another tip would be baby wearing, if you don’t already do that. Gives you 2 free hands to get things done and still gives your new bub lots of bonding & snuggles. Congratulations & all the best :)

  • Also, congratulations to you on your growing family. :)

  • With a great sense of humour…Seriously ignore mess, things will get done eventually. Accept any help that gets offered, shop online and plan meals (easy ones) in advance, write things down, encourage a daily ‘relaxation’ rest period, use quiet music or a favourite movie to catch some you time. Encourage the eldest to help out, big responsibilities can be very rewarding! Don’t forget to enjoy the days too, pretty soon you will have a house full of teens!

  • It’ll just come natural once they’re all there. One day at a time, one drama at a time. Don’t sweat the small stuff and don’t be ashamed to ask for help

  • Definitely have a schedule and a plan for all of your days – but also have some flexibility. Also enlist help from friends and family if they have the time during the early days to help you. Take some time for you when your partner is home to recharge. Good Luck.

  • You just do! My girlfriend said three was ok, the fourth was hard work… Make sure you spend time loving each of them, and don’t get bogged under with the work load. All the best
