Hello!

My partner can be very passive aggressive when we have disagreement and I find it very hard to handle and end up blaming myself. Any suggestions on how to work with this behaviour?

  • Never react with anger because the blame game starts. Have your say calmly and walk away. It is his problem and let him know that he needs to fix it.

  • Firstly, don’t give them a reaction. When responding be logical and factual and don’t engage in an argument.

  • Some tips to deal with it are;
    Do not react to his behavior. They are looking for a reaction from you in order to confirm their behavior has had its intended impact. …
    Do not blame or judge. …
    Engage positively and assertively. …
    Be specific — and invoke empathy. …
    Remove yourself.

  • I’m unsure exactly what this entails, even though I know I am this too. Any type of disagreement is difficult to deal with
