Hello!

My daughter dropped her gum on the wooden floor. It’s really stuck in the grooves, it looks like she has rolled over it with the office chair several times. I don’t want to have to get down and scrape it off knowing I could seriously damage the floor or the finish on it. Is there anything I could do to get it out?

How do you get seriously stuck bubble gum out of a wooden floor?

  • I have good experience with removing gum with eucalyptus oil

  • Try Oomph in a spray bottle, supermarkets and Bunnings stock it.

  • I have heard eucalyptus oil rubbed in will do the trick. :)

  • When we got gum on our floor we used ice to freeze it them carefully chipped it off. It took a long time to do so would love to hear if anyone has a quicker way

  • this is a great question. surely a member will suggest solving that will loosen it without damaging the finish. maybe you could ring a proffessional and see if they will hand you out some free advice.
