Possibly try cutting up the apple and shaping it on a plate into funny faces or something? If they want a ‘treat food’ suggest they eat some fruit first and explain why they should eat it (the positives such as the vitamins, energy, taste). If your child has desserts you could try a ready to make jelly mix, quickly wip that up and add some apple perhaps a fun way to introduce them to eating it. Definitly eat them around your child yourself. Perhaps wait for a reallllyy hot day, fresh cold grapes out of the fridge while they are hot from playing outside etc im sure they will find them very refreshing try different variations, I have found organic ‘royal gala’ red apples from coles to be the best tasting and texture, usually some great sized ones for kids too not too big. Woolworths organic green grapes are the best tasting we have tried.
Don’t forget that there are many vegetables we think that they’re fruits whilst they’re not.
Like avocado, pumpkin, cucumber, tomato etc. You may put tomato in his pasta, lasagna or soup ? then he gets fruits
I wouldn’t be worried when your 5yr old eats any veggies ! That';s amazing and I would say well done !! Fruits may have more vitamin C and when you have concerns you could look to which veggies are rich in vitamin C.
