  • Easiyo all the way in this house

  • I have a yoghurt maker, as well as an ice cream maker and bread maker. A lil bit cheats, but best ever products! And you know exactly what’s gone into it

  • I have an Easiyo too. It is easy to use. But if I’m being truthful I find that not all supermarkets stock the mixtures you need to use it. And really it is more expensive than buying a tub of yoghurt.

  • You can do it with a thermomix I believe it is an 8 hour process – I haven’t tried it yet! – I have heard lots of people using the yoghurt maker as previously mentioned – I am thinking of investing in one because it sounds easier. We go through a 1litre tub twice in one week, so that is $8-10 depending on which yoghurt we buy so it has to be cheaper and more fun right to make your own!

  • I have an Easiyo maker – so simple and easy I wish I’d got one years ago!

  • We’ve been using the EasyYo or a similar brand as hubby likes yoghurt for his breakfast. You do need to check the flavouring sachets for sugar and fat content if giving to kids, as some of the “fruit” ones are up to 30% sugar per 100g, but it is a easy way to make fresh yoghurt and slightly cheaper than pre-made if you buy the sachets on sale.

  • Heya. We also use EasiYo as it simplified the process, no heating milk and taking temperatures and it sets overnight in a bath of boiling water. Their packets contain powdered dairy milk and culture (as well as flavors etc).

If you are wanting to make your own without the packets you just need 2 heaped tablespoons of existing yogurt for each one litre EasiYo container and milk of your choice. Mix well in the pot and use the usual instructions to set it. This means that is you want to make it from non-bovine milks that you can do that too. Goat’s milk is a common alternative.

The EasiYo containers are all dishwasher safe and the setting pot can just be rinsed after each use as it should only ever have water in it.

Makes life very easy and is quite cost effective too.

  • I use the Easiyo yogurt maker. Super easy!! They are often sold at half price (approx. $11.50) at Woolworths or BigW. Yoghurt sachets are about $4 and make 1lt of yoghurt.

  • I’ve made it with the Philips All-in-One Cooker. But I admit I often buy it at the supermarket. https://mouthsofmums.com.au/recipe/homemade-yoghurt/
