  • I start packing boxes as soon as the house goes up for sale and put the boxes into cupboards. This also helps you to declutter the house before people start walking through your home during Open House days.
I use Clean Paper (butchers paper or Kraft paper) to wrap my crockery rather than Newspaper otherwise you will have to wash all your crockery when you arrive into your new home.
Use cushions, pillows, towels, blankets and anything else soft to stuff empty spaces in boxes to save paper, less boxes in the long run and it helps to buffer breakables.
Remember to number each box and which room they are to go into.
Keep a notebook of EVERYTHING you pack into each box for easy location and insurance purposes if required.

  • Label each box with whats in it and what room it needs to go into

  • I let hubby do it once. Do room by room having a clean out first, get rid of crap. Then start packing things I don’t use much and go from there, packing more as you get closer to moving date

  • I do it with alot of boxes and label everything especially fragile items and wrap them in cloth or bubble wrap.Start packing up now and don’t leave it to last minute.Good Luck with your new home!

  • Wrap all your fragile items in newspaper or bubble wrap, contact your local supermarkets and ask them to put some boxes aside for you :)
Start with rooms that you don’t use often and move through! You can buy big striped bags from cheap shops for clothing and shoes!
