First, sterilize the tip of the tweezers using rubbing alcohol. Then, pull out the splinter in the same direction that it entered the skin. Never squeeze out a splinter, as this may cause it to break into smaller pieces that are harder to remove. Use a small needle to remove the splinter.

Have you tried a splinter probe? I think you can get them from chemists

I never heard of drawing out cream either !
I usually just use a tweezers and a sharp desinfected needle

I’ve never heard of drawing out cream – I’ve learnt something new today.

My mum used to use a needle to pick out the splinter whenever I had them, but it scared the daylights out of me.

I would try using tweezers.

My mum used to use a fine threading needle to slowly pick it out while pinching the splinter . You need to be careful and patient so you don’t jab yourself as it is done bit by bit . It is not as bad as it sounds .

in the bath… sit in a warm bath and let the skin around them go really soft before getting them out with tweezers… failing this i would go to a doctor.

You can get tweezers that have a light on them, very handy for fine splinters!
I wish you the best of luck, splinters can be very frustrating!

You could try magnoplasm splinter drawing cream available from a pharmacy.

You can get some gel from the chemist which you put on the splinter and cover with a band aid and it draws it out.

Also; make sure you use fine tweezers – these can usually be purchased from the chemist.
