  • Microwave its far to cold for anybody to be out of bed for long.

  • microwave

  • I used to fill 2/3 with milk and top up with hot water from the kettle. No microwave in my house when kids were little. This was after they stopped breast feeding.

  • I use the microwave I like it because I know exactly how long it takes now to make it a good temp for bub

  • I have used many way in the past to heat a bottle from a bottle warmer which heats it up for you but found it was a waste of time, you might as well use sitting bottle in hot water for 3-4 minutes. But the quickest way i have found id to heat it in the microwave for 40 seconds, but not all at once. do it in small installments and give it a quick swirl to move milk around so it doesnt have any hot dpots in it for bubs. and test before giving it to make sure its not to hot.

  • I use the microwave for cow’s milk but for breastmilk I put it in the bottle and the bottle into a jug of hot water. You need a thermostat to check the temp for this.

  • I was using the hot water in a jug method, recently I purchased a bottle warmer which is great. It tells you exactly how much water to put in and how long to heat for depending on how much milk is in your bottle. It’s the perfect temp every time. My bottles usually have 180 ml and it takes 4 minutes :)

  • There are a few ways you can do this…

    a) boil the kettle and stand the bottle into a jug and pour the boiling water in – will take about 3 minutes…

    b) pop it into the microwave minus the teat in 10 second lots until you know the time for your microwave – pull the bottle out each time put the teat on and shake as the microwave keeps heating after it is removed. 20-30seconds should end up being the right time frame – but once again it depends on your microwave

    c) You can purchase a bottle warmer – from places like big w… it basically works on the same theory as method one above and will take a few minutes.

  • microwave. I also muke my ebm for bub

  • We used to put very hot water in a jug and stand the baby’s bottle in it. It will be hot enough in 3 – 4 minutes.
I never heated a bottle in the microwave. If you decided to do it that way you need to remove the teat for the heat to enter via the top as well as the sides. Overheating will make the teat sticky. The milk will not heat evenly. you will need to put that top back on and shake it and check temperature. You may need to either heat it more or if it is too hot you can run cold water over the bottle, then re-check the temperature.
