Hello!

How do you know where you are on the leaderboard? The line on my page with purple and red never changes at all.

  • I got over 20 000 points the other month, was still short of the very end of the red section, but won my first preference. I’m guessing everyone in the red section at the end if the month wins a reward prize, otherwise why jet you get that far up? It is hard and takes a lot of time commenting, uploading recipes and crafts etc. Sone months they have bonus points fir activities, which is fun

  • It depends on how much you contribute, and what you contribute on. Go to the rewards section under your login and they have all of the ways you can earn points.

  • It’s definitely a lot of work getting to the top. It also depends on how many prizes are available in the month too. Some people must earn thousands of points each month to be at the top.

  • The more you contribute to the website by either asking or answering questions, commenting on recipes or craft ideas, entering competitions or writing and posting stories, gets you more points. If it seems that you’re not moving up the leaderboard it’s probably because there are a lot of people on the same points as you.

It is hard work to get enough points to get into the red which is why I don’t make the attempt every month. It depends on what the prizes are and how busy I am with my family and work. Good luck with it though! It’s all good fun!

  • So glad to see someone asking this question. I check my progress and also noticed the red/purple doesn’t change and I wondered how I was doing. This month, I have noticed the black line at the start of purple/red line has inched along…..a very tiny bit, but moved nonetheless. I do a bit on here so all I can say to the monthly winners is ‘you truly deserve your prize because you’ve obviously earned it by participating heaps.’ I didn’t, until now, realise how much work was involved in winning a monthly prize :/

  • This is all new to me too, thanks ladies for the answers. It make much sense now.

  • Thanks for posting the question. I am new to MoMs and was wondering the same thing – so thanks everyone.

  • Good to see you’ve cleared it up and understand how it all works now! Took me a while to work it all out to begin with. Some months I try harder than others and I always wonder how the people at the to get such MASSIVE points scores!

  • so yeah i can see that there are many answers here lol!

  • Mine always works. Sometimes it takes alot for it to move.

  • it was good when they used to have your line at the top of every page you were on so you could always see it. now you have to click into rewards to see it. It would be nice to have a figure to see how many more points you need to be one of the top earners too rather than a line.

  • Contributing recipes , art and craft stories etc will add points to peoples scores too but often these results are delayed as they have to be approved by admin,

  • There are different prizes on offer every month. This month there are 31 prizes on offer, so only the top 31 contributors will win a prize. Other months, there have been well over 100 prizes, so a much, much better chance of winning. If you are lucky enough to win, you will receive an email offering you your preferences in prizes. They then start with the top contributor, and move down the list, to try and give every one their first preference. If your first preference has already gone, the look at your next preference, and so on. The amount of points you need to move the grey line into the red depends on how much you contribute to the site, as well as how much other people contribute. I’ve won a few monthly prizes, but best of all, I’ve been part of a fantastic group of people sharing all sorts of wisdom, entered competitions (though no luck yet), trialled products, and found some fabulous recipe and craft ideas.

  • MOM93821 said it well! Check out the “REWARDS” section at the top of the page to find out how you can earn points faster and take advantage of any email points they send (like for Mother’s Day, your birthday etc) Good luck :)

  • For the first time ever i actually was high enough to reive one of the books on offer, but it took a lot of time and effort to do so.
