  • I honestly can’t remember, lol !

  • Also; check your body is ready; sometimes if may take longer to be ready.

  • Best to go with medical advice.

  • I can’t remember how many weeks but I do have a suggestion. If you are travelling as a passenger put a cushion or something similar between your stomach and the seat belt. It helps strop the pressure on and around the incision and you don’t feel the vibration from the road surface as much.

  • Each person is different – your medical practitioner is the best person to answer this question. I rang my insurance company to ask them as I was not able to find any information any where on their website. Their advice to me was that as long as my OB had cleared me I was fine to drive. I was driving within two weeks but I had a very speedy recovery with both my c sections and actually recovered much faster than most of my friends who had natural births.

  • I was told by our OB that insurance will not cover you under 6 weeks unless you have a written clearance from your GP

  • You are not covered by insurance before 6 weeks so have an accident you will not be covered. I drove at 2 weeks post csection but only went very short trips

  • From what I’ve heard, its advisable to check with your car insurance provider and/or Dr.

  • Every doctor says different, definitely check what they say. I was told by my doc once I can turn from side to side without pain and I am able to do an emergency break that it was ok. The first baby I drove after 6 weeks to be safe. the second time I drove after 3 weeks.

  • My doctor said 6.
You have to be careful driving before 6 weeks due to insurance reasons. If you have been cleared by the doctor that’s fine, otherwise if an accident were to happen your insurance may not cover you.

  • I was told 6 weeks after my csection
