“How many bottles and how many mls should my 15month old boy be drinking.recently switched him to cows milk.he usually has 200ml of formula but i dont think its enough” How many bottles per day for a 15 month old?

  • Maybe 1 at night

  • At this age, my kids were having a full bottle at bedtime only. I filled it 3/4 with cows milk and the remaining 1/4 was hot water. During the day, they mostly got water, with occasional juice or milk

  • When i was breastfeeding it was still about 4 feeds a day and one at night my little man was a bit of a breastaholic so no idea if thats the norn or what.

  • For a son your age, he should be drinking milk and combining with solids. He maybe drinking lots of milk because he is not getting enough solids . I remembered when mine started solids they were drinking much less milk so its like a beginning of a balanced diet. I would pop into your childhood clinic and see the nurse to make sure he is being fed properly so he is gaining weight and eating correctly . Mine was a saviour with my first child and I asked about everything .

  • 1-2 I would think, don’t let him fill up on milk, at 15 months they don’t need much, don’t stress unless there is a problem with his growth

  • They usually let you know when they want them but roughly 3-5 per day. Might find they may not even finish it all

  • I would say 3 to 4 a day !

  • Great advice here, i would go with let your heart be your guide

  • if his crying and upset you can give him more. if he is content i would leave it

  • Use the tin as a guide but be guided by your bub also, they’ll tell you what you need.

  • If you are unsure I would talk to your child health nurse,

  • I think if he wants more then give him more.

  • Is he eating lots of solids as well?

  • If eating solids and still having a lot of bottle try putting him on toddler formula as maybe he is not getting enough. My 2 year old doesn’t eat a lot so she is on formula still which is for her age group
