  • I know snacks at the movies are very expensive for what they are, but I still buy them. Sometimes I get the Popcorn from the cinema to just have back at home.

  • We usually pay for popcorn, a drink and a choc top.
Everything else like chips, chocolates and lollies we bring from outside as it is very expensive!

  • The prices for snacks at the movies are over the top. We choose to eat either before or after the movie.

  • I have infrequently brought in my own snacks, but usually we don’t eat during the movie and have something afterwards. The movie snacks are just too expensive.

  • My husband often takes our kids to the movies and they go to the supermarket before the movies to buy a bag of chips or so to bring along.

  • I don’t pay anything for snacks at the movies, it’s too expensive.

  • We often have lunch before,we do take some lollies from the supermarket.Yes we do get conned to buy popcorn. The price of the frozen drink is ridiculous, you can get a frozen drink at mac as for $1.I always buy her a chocolate top ice cream about $5.

  • Food at the movies is way over priced and unaffordable for a family. I buy mine at discount stores and take them in. Or a supermarket if no discount stores (Red Dot, Reject Shop, Shiploads etc) are close by

  • I make my own…haha! I pop popcorn and put it in brown bags and bring a bottle of water each. Snack prices are insane!

  • I do the dodgy and pack my own before going to the movies. No way will I pay through the roof for snacks! Easily you can spend more than the cost of all the tickets if you buy their snacks. Also; make sure you have a significant meal first.

  • Never ever never ever pay 500% more for snacks at the movies, by buying them at the cinema. Compared to supermarket and home made with a few moments for thought before movie night, we save enough on average to see twice as many movies. Darn site healthier too.

  • I only ever buy the popcorn & drink combo which is reasonable but snacks/lollies I bring myself.

  • We take our own snacks, they are so much nicer than expensive movie snacks!

  • Never from the snack bar adds far too much cost to going to the movies

  • Definitely from the supermarket and bring in. I buy natural confectionary lollies and package them up in little zip lock bags for the kids with a freddo frog and a few marshmallows.
