Hello!

I am currently part of a planning committee for our School Fete. I am interested to know what the average price of stall hire is? I’ve contacted other local markets in the area and the prices vary greatly based on what your selling, inside/outside stall & if you require power or insurance. We are offering a basic 3 x 3 metre outside stall and would like to have 1 flat rate for all stall holders. What would you be willing to pay if you were a small business or work from home parent?

  • I would pay $30 to $50 for a stall.

  • up to about $50 depending on the market in question

  • $15 – $20 usually

  • yeah look $10-15 is a good price. don’t price it too high

  • If it’s a school fete, people are really not going to shop a lot, they are going more for the kids craft etc.. I would charge more than $35 people will not feel like they are being ripped off if you only have to pay that

  • It depends where and what it is for.
If it’s a school fete where they are getting loads of people usually the price is pretty good because they are fundraising and want to support you too so a fee of approx $20 is good. You could also charge various rates like I run a business and all I would need is space of a card table so I often contact fete’s and ask if there is a cheaper rate as I have my own insurance too and they are more happy to help. So perhaps even $10, $20, $30 etc.
Bigger companies like Markets charge more as they have over heads like advertising etc.

  • I have been looking around here and they seem to be around the $60-$70 mark. I make hair clips and bows but i wouldn’t make much profit spending that. As a school fete I’d say $10-$20 and thank you for asking as i am now going to look into school fetes to sell at.

  • I would say anything from $10 is fair as you want it to be cheaper than your competitors.

  • Our school charged a fee of $30 for a stall space

  • our local market has the one set price and it is $20.00 for a stall and all stall holders get a raffle ticket when you pay on the day and if you win they give you back your $20.00 fee you payed. The way they work is you have to ring and book a spot to put you tables up and than pay as you enter

  • As it is a school fete, I would say about five dollars this way people are more willing to have a stall.

  • My local market charges $70 for a stall and you have to supply everything including your own insurance.
