Hello!

How much do you spend on chocolate at Easter time? Do you buy chocolate or other Easter gifts instead of chocolate?

  • I didn’t have to buy for youngsters last year, so I bought the adults blocks of their favourite chocolate. You get more chocolate for the money.

  • I always avoided buying heaps of chocolate for Easter for my kids, and now I’m avoiding it with the grandkids. I always buy something chocolatey, but tend to focus more on other longer lasting gifts instead

  • I can’t remember exactly but I think it was around $75, I bought for my eldest 3 a big chocolate egg from the Health Food Store which was around $20 each and for my youngest a box of smaller vegan eggs from Loving Earth https://www.floraandfauna.com.au/loving-earth-boobook-chocolate-caramel-eggs-100g?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIo7uTquyZ5QIVzQ0rCh1Z6QWzEAYYBCABEgI6avD_BwE

  • good question! I buy something very small for my kids
(choc) and I have 7 nieces and nephews so I buy something for them, say $5 each

  • Not so much. =) we prefer to make our own chocolates in molds. its more fun!

  • My kids get one Easter casket, quite a few little solid eggs for the hunt and a block of chocolate. So maybe $30 worth of chocolate. And approx $50 on other, non chocolate products

  • My rule is $15 max per kid, and if I buy bulk packs of good quality eggs like red tulip or Cadbury, I can make big piles of eggs and pinch a few myself!

  • All we buy is one egg for each kid and that’s it. Grandparents always buy them pjs and they get a couple more eggs from cousins…..call be mean but I think that’s all they need…. My kids are 2 & 4.

  • I spend $8 each on three kids plus they share with mum n dad

  • Definitely no more then $25 and that includes gift giving as well

  • I don’t usually spend much on Easter eggs, but this year I want to organise an Easter egg hunt for the kids. I’ll probably spend about $20 as I don’t want them to eat too much choc and there’s only 3 of them.

  • I’ve bought a couple of bags of mini eggs for an egg hunt and a humpty dumpty then I’ve bought them a superhero figurine each.

  • $0. No chocolate for mine. Free chocolate everywhere is too much already.

  • Usually one or two nice Easter chocolates and a handful of small ones per child and then little Easter trinkets / decorations from eg the Reject or similar dollar shops that they treasure more than the chocolates and can be used to decorate Easter table and house next year too.

  • We always received a small amount of chocolate and winter pj’s at Easter and we are continuing that with our children. Mum has asked whether she can buy my 22 month old some chocolate and I’ve said as long as it’s small portions like small eggs or she suggested mini Malteaser bunnies. If he was to receive a larger bunny he would be expecting to eat the whole thing, this way he gets one chocolate at a time.
