  • I have run numerous hens nights, and normally the night works out at about $50 per person going. As the person running the event, I am ok to spend a little bit more for the bride to have a good time. (roughly between $75 – $100) Any more than the $50 you will find that some may not turn up, you may be out of pocket more etc.

  • Any more than $50 a person I find that people don’t want to pay more but then again I haven’t had a good experience

  • When hosting its a tough one, I’ve tried to make it more affordable by – getting the girls who attend to contribute to a book for “Recipes of love”, I ordered a frame online to make our own photo booth and already had props etc from the races, other dress up parties etc, bridesmaids chipped in for a room for the night, we didn’t have anything down the “Magic Mike” path…drinks in the room with nibbles and games with prizes (simple things from Priceline, eBay, IKEA etc – candles, eye masks, picture frames, bath products etc) followed by dinner and dancing (went to a club with free entry or guest list options)..hope this helps, didn’t put a specific amount in here but some tips to make it a fun night and a bit more cost effective :)

  • Really depends on your individual situation. Are there other friends of hers or bridesmaids who can help you to oragnise it and share the cost ?

  • It would depend on the venue. Hard question to answer, sorry.

  • I am going to a surprise party soon. As I don’t drive, nobody going lives anywhere near me and the bus routes don’t go near the venue. I will have to catch a taxi which will be about $100.00 each way.
Needless to say I will not be buying an expensive present nor am I the one organising it.

  • Also; get help if needed – it can lighten the load.

  • Hard question will be looking at the suggestions as this will be me organising soon

  • Hard question to answer, but the more you spend the more you have to charge each person that’s coming. This might be a deal breaker for some. I just went to my nieces and it cost $80, which included drinks, finger food, decorations, games and 2 male “skimpy” waiters for part of the night. Pretty good value and the cost was kept down as it was at the parents place. I couldn’t drink much as I was driving so didn’t really get my money’s worth. Take into account most people will need to also pay for a taxi/uber for the trip there and back, outfit or costume and it can end up an expensive night.

  • It is individual and depends on the budget and they style of hen’s night.
The main thing is to set a budget and to stick to it.

  • Yep generally it’s covered by all invited but keep in mind how much you ask for. I just had to pay over $200 for one and it was way too much in my opinion

  • Personally, to lighten the load, I would get all invited to help out. Bring a plate, bring drinks, bring some games etc. It’s easier when everyone pitches in
