  • When our kids were younger I would spend very little, between $ 10-20 pp for Xmas and BD’s
Now we spend on average $200 pp, unless we travel then we spend none

  • We spend around $200 each child and then their santa present which could be a shared present or individual depending on their needs.
Last year one got new golf clubs which were a lot more than the $200 but also something that he needed

  • Anywhere from $20-$50. We are on a pretty tight budget so I shop through out the year. My daughters birthday is in December as well. Normally we spend more on the kids on their birthday and less at Christmas.

  • going against the grain we look at about $200 – and a joint “Family”present.

  • Personally, very little. I have one son, just over two years old. I buy a couple of educational type things and/or something useful, and throw in a few things he ‘needs’ anyway, like socks or tshirts. I know he will get spoilt by the extended family and we don’t have room for much ‘stuff’! I’d rather he gets one quality educational thing.

  • We are big on giving experiences rather than gifts which lets face it end up in the cupboard. Depending on what we are doing depends on my budget for it. I rarely shop full price items and my gifts are generally gifts discounted.

  • This will be my first Christmas as a parent but I intend on buying something practical. Honestly my little one will be 5months at Christmas and she is getting some reusable swim nappies and some bath toys so maybe $70 tops!
I guess as she gets older and if we have any more kids things will change, but my husband and I are about quality time and practical gifts

  • We save and budget during the year for Christmas.

  • I just have one daughter and very often I spend around 100-150 dollars each Christmas.

  • It really depends on what they want and if I can afford it. I’d say on an average between one hundred and one hundred and fifty dollars. Gift cards are always good too.

  • Usually around $100 for each child now they are much older its usually a visa gift card

  • About $100 per child

  • It varies from year to year but we do stick to a budget and we do not go overboard at Christmas time. We do not do excess at Christmas time when it comes to buying presents. The important thing is for families to make a budget that suits their financial situation.

  • It doesn’t have to be alot it could just be a token gifts or something that they need like a puzzle or a game or even a book I would say around 50$

  • To be honest I have no idea! Around $300-$400 each child
