Hello!

“Help! My 4 month old baby is a little greedy and is about 7.5kgs. We have just started solid foods and he gobbles it all down no issues. Should I be feeding him a certain amount each serving or feed him until he seems to be full. Keeping in mind that I have not seen him reject any food yet lol” How much food should you give a 4 month old?

  • I think at 4months of age milk is still the main source of food as the gut isn’t matured yet. After 4 months of age it’s about introduction of solids.

  • Ask your health nurse. Check jars and packets for their feeding recommendations. Google it, good old Dr Google is full of advice. At least he has a healthy appetite, could change as he gets older and you’ll be asking for the opposite advice

  • Only about a tablespoon once a day is the recommendation

  • Let your baby guide you.

  • Your baby will tell you everything you need to know. Just be guided by him and you’ll be fine.

  • Hope you found the answers you were looking for.

  • They are all different-he’ll let you know if he is still hungry.

  • Feed him until he’s full and he will let you know

  • Be guided by your baby.

  • I would feed him until his full. If he is eating good food you won’t have a problem. Which I am sure he is

  • I don’t think babies can be greedy, if they are hungry, they are hungry. I would feed him until he is satisfied. :-)

  • Hope all is going well with your hungry little guy!

  • At four months their main source of food should still be breast milk or formula. Its ok to offer little bits of food but not too much, their little bellies are still small.

  • I think it depends wot u r feeding ur child. Some food is more filling than others!

  • Buy good size Tupperware containers cut up chicken, beef, pork etc and vegetables like broccoli, carrots, peas, potato etc and freeze them so there 1 meal every night :-)
