  • I’m not sure what the current recommendations you’d get from your doctor would be but you don’t actually have to do tummy time at all if you don’t want to, so there isn’t really a minimum amount. Babywearing (carrying a baby in a sling or baby carrier) can be a good alternative. I didn’t do tummy time with my second bub and he turned out just fine.

  • I think a little bit a couple of times a day. My boys were fine and loved it. They did about 10minutes a couple of times a day. My daughter, now 5 months, hates it! She screams instantly and is a clingy little miss. She is slowly getting better and her best is about 5 minutes. Because she hates it I forget to give it to her some days but keep saying I will do it a few times a day!

  • all babies are different…you’ll have to start with whatever is comfy to your baby…. can be as little as a minute also… but baby will increase later on

  • I don’t think there is a set time. You can do what makes you feel is comfortable.

  • As much as possible, before each bottle is always good.

  • Bub usually lets you know when they have had enough tummy time, listen to your baby.

  • I don’t think there is a set time. each baby is different. do what you feel is comfortable.

  • I think if you just try a few times a day and you can do it anywhere including on your chest if you lie down

  • 5-10 mins each time for about 3 times. Start slowly… Each babies are different though…There is no rule. If your baby likes tummy time then by all means have it as much as you like!

  • There is no set rule. Do what fits in with you schedule and you own intuition on how baby feels. Sometimes they love tummy time and other times they are not in the mood.

  • Give them as much as they like.

  • As far as I know as long as they like. Most can usually roll back on to their backs.

  • It is really good for them and I think you should do it for as long as your baby feels comfortable doing it.

  • I used to do frequent short periods as it tires them, but not straight after a feed because they can throw up if they have a full tummy.

  • As long as you want to
