Hello!

In regards to electric toothbrushes, roughly how long in-between changing the heads? For a normal toothbrush I change roughly every 3 months, is it the same for electric toothbrushes?

  • Three months for me too.

  • I always thought it was normal practice to change the head every three months. You can generally tell by the bristles because they begin to spread and look a bit tatty. Plus, the feel of the brush is different as well. The same applies to a normal toothbrush.

  • yeah 3 months is about what i do. easy enough to change it out.

  • I have always understood the changing rules to be the same as regular toothbrushes and my mother always taught me to change it when ever the first of these three things happened

    – every three months (bacteria buildup/wear)
    – when the brush hear becomes frayed/damaged/discoloured
    – directly after you have been ill (gastro etc) to prevent illness reoccurring

  • I think its about 3 months, or when they start to lose colour and look worn.

  • Check the instructions as they may come with a change guide?

  • When the bristles on the toothbrush head start to look worn – about 3 months sounds right.

  • I hope so because that’s what I’m doing too! :-)
