  • So to watch a movie, my eldest is almost 5 and we havent been yet. I took her when she was 6 months old to a mums and bubs session as I needed some mental health care. and that was a disaster. So havent been back.

  • About 10, 8 and 6 – and what a disaster. Two of three didn’t like the movie and ran out screaming in the first ten minutes.

  • My son was 4, we took him to see the Lion King for his birthday. He fell asleep!!!

  • I think my daughter was bout 4 or 5 only because we told her if she makes any noise we will all have to get out and she really understood a lot of rules when she was growing up and had no trouble explaining things to her especially when she knew what the benefit or payoff was . Kids can be very smart when they want to be so never underestimate the power of intelligence .

  • I’m thinking that it won’t be until my little girl is at least 4, maybe 5. I’ll play it by ear and see how she goes with watching movies/ tv shows at home. If she can sit still and watch a movie at home, then she’ll be ready for the movies!

  • Our daughter was 4. We took her to a cartoon movie and she loved it. We have found that because weave taken our kids to restaurants, movies etc from an early age we have no problems taking them anywhere as they know how to behave

  • My boy was 2 when I first took him. But I showed him the youtube trailer of it the movie we were going to see first to see if it was going to be one he would be interested in. He got all excited and went and put his shoes on. We got seats down the front so he wouldnt annoy too many people if he decided to get up and dance/walk around. He only got up to dance with the rest of the kids about 10 mins before it finished.

  • I am planning on going to a mum and bubs session in a few weeks with my 8 month old.

  • I have a 2 year old and a 6month old and have not taken them to the cinema yet. I have taken my 2 year old bowling. :)

  • Some cinemas have crying rooms for parents with small children. My partner and I took our son to the movies a few times when he was still quite small, now he is two, we think he might be ready in another 6 months to see a movie for himself.

  • 2 and we only lasted half the movie lol

  • We still have not been – our girls are 2 and 4.5 yrs old

  • Looks the the norm is between 2-4

  • My little guy is 2.5 and we haven’t been yet..

  • my daughter was 3 years old :)
