I have gone through 5 dummies in the past couple of months. Does anyone have any good tips to keep them clean and get rid of bad breath smells without using chemicals?

  • All you can do is sterilise and buy new ones. I remember my daughter used to bite into them and there would be things that got in them therefore had to keep buying new ones until we got rid of the dummy alktogether

  • I just wash ours in hot water and hang on them on the washing line to get some sunlight.

  • if there dishwasher safe you could put them in the dishwasher or you could put them if your vege steamer on the stove and steam them

  • Yeah I always put them in the Steam Steriliser too

  • I used to put it in the steam steriliser

  • Put them in the top shelf of the dishwasher.

  • I remember one mum telling me she used to soak hers in vinegar to get rid of any smells. Never tried it myself.

  • I am not sure if this would work for dummies, but a friend of mine used to swear by using vanilla essence (just a drop) in bottles when sterilising them because it would get rid of any smells. The only other thing I could think of was engaging in some natural chemical free cleaners such as vinegar, nature direct or even those tablets used to sterilise bottles.
