Hello!

What’s the best way to get stains off a white fabric couch? They are just everyday marks, but they are really noticeable. Thanks

  • I would try Hydrogen Peroxide.

  • Most carpet cleaning companies will also do lounges, there might even be companies that specialise in lounge cleaning. I’d suggest getting it done professionally as it is white and sometimes when you clean white, the spot you cleaned becomes even more noticeable

  • Hope you had some success; white couches terrify me!

  • I suggest getting some professional advice; as it is white it may be tricky! Good luck!

  • Sugar soap with warm water helps.

  • As it’s white I’d get it professionally cleaned & scotch guarded.

  • Baby wipes are great at removing heaps of stains and spills or if this fails try, Create a natural mixture using three tablespoons baking powder and one tablespoon club soda.
-Grab a towel/cloth and rub the mixture over the stain you should see the stain starting to come off.
-let it sit for a little while (a minute or two)
    – Then wet a cloth, drain the excess and wipe down the sofa.
If home cleaning fails call a carpet and upholstery cleaning business.
    Best of luck.

  • I often use antibacterial or baby wipes as they are low moisture but seem to get most stains out

  • is there anyway you can take the covers off to wash them? or some carpet cleaning places also clean upholstery with a steam cleaner.

  • White vinegar in warm water and sugar soap also helps.

  • We have a little hand held carpet cleaner that works wonders but we also sold our white couch once we had kids as despite your best efforts you will always be fighting stains! You could try finding a nice fitted cover to prevent little hands and feet getting up to too much mischief

  • White vinigar or the magic eraser :)

  • I use a steam cleaner on mine – come up looking like new in no time

  • Have you tried the marker cleaner you can get in supermarkets (the one the works on walls)

  • Yes – I thought a white spirit might help. Check out advice from Shannon Lush online. Good luck!
