  • I always put things back in cupboards and wipe laundry surfaces down every second day or so. It keeps the laundry tidy and clean.

  • I am currently watching House Rules and am amazed at the laundries they produce. So beautiful and functional. All I do is dream……

  • I gave up on that a long time ago. Our laundry is also the toilet and backyard shed so there’s stuff everywhere. We do have 3 cupboards and 2 sets of shelves, but it never seems to be under control clutter wise

  • Don’t let it build up works for me!

  • I have a washing basket for dark and light wash. I wash it, hang it out, when dry iron and fold it and put it straight away. I will not do a next wash till the last one is put away. In practice this means that my wash never piles up.

  • Keep all detergents etc in a cupboard – have a small basket / caddy for sponges and small bits and pieces. Also have laundry hampers that clothes get sorted in straight away. If the hamoers can go inside a cupboard then the mess can be hidden

  • My laundry isn’t tidy until the washing is done. Which as we know, is never completely done. Our laundry hosts our pantry, washer/drier, deep freezer, sink, cleaning items, bin and dog food. We don’t have the luxury of space but less is definitely more. Re-home non essential items

  • I wash nearly everyday keeps most of my washing at bay.

  • get a cupboard! lol there are many nifty little ideas that you can try out.

  • I like the less is best approach too. I dislike clutter.

  • Some great tips here thanks.

  • I am liking JOHTKOOL comment. :-)

  • I generally sorting then wash ,hang out &when dry flood ,put away straight away .So it is back in draws, not much mess.

  • Go to IKEA or Howard’s Storage World, so many nice ideas that are budget friendly :D

  • I’ve made life easier for me in the laundry as I’ve been using the new Radiant colour sort washing liquid that I can wash dark & lighter clothes together. It works!
