Hello!

We are going on our first cruise. I’m a little nervous about putting my kids in the kids play rooms and also stressing about keeping then entertained at night. They are 9, 8, 5 & 3. Do they provide milk at night for my kids to have their milk before bed. Also how does snacking work. My kids love a little snack just before bed. I’m very anxious. It’s a 4 day cruise. I’m going with my family but hubby won’t be with me so while I know my family will be great support they are just not hubby.

  • My family and I went on a five day cruise in January too. We had a ball. I hope you and your children enjoyed your cruise.

  • The play room is very safe, you will have to sign in and off your kids. The door is locked and no one can look through it from the outside. When I went with my 1yo dd I took formula, so I am not sure about the milk, but depend which cruise line they probably have a cafe, which you can get the milk and they are great for snacking options. I believe you won’t have problems with food as there are so many options for eating on board.

  • Double check the website of the cruise ship you’ve booked with. There should also be a customer service number for you to call and ask questions you’ve not been able to find the answer to.

  • Check with the cruise liner to confirm what they provide. You will find that they will probably meet all your needs but for peace of mind I would check!

  • My in laws , have been on a couple of cruises and they highly recommended it, you are very lucky . Your concerns are mainly for the children needs so I would probably just ring the cruise liner customer service and just have a chat with them . It is also good you have picked a mini one as a friend of mine did one for a week and was sick for most of the time and told me to always start small . I would suggest you bring some ginger tablets or anti-nausea meds just in case anyone needs it. Above all, from what I have heard you and family will have a blast of a time .

  • This sounds like a wonderful experience for your family. Travel agents love researching and providing information and it is not ‘bugging’ them. They should have packs with every bit of information on your cruise with the finer details. The operators of the cruise should also have contact information and you should be able to contact them directly for any information. Maybe make up your own little folder with all relevant cruise info. Have fun on your cruise!

  • My parents and sister booked (mum owns a travec agency). It’s a gift to my children and I, as we are trying to make sure we having amazing memories together as family that the kids will be able to hold onto. I got given an brochure on p&o cruises. I don’t want to bug them as I keep I have asked so many questions already I think I’m driving them bonkers. Lol I will check oUT p&o cruise Web page and see if I can ask some q’s on there. Also we do have a kids club. Will be weird trusting my kids to someone else as I never let anyone I don’t know look after my kids I still have issues leaving them with family as u have 4 kids it can be a bit over welming for most ppl.

  • The Herald Sun in Melbourne has a Q&A page on cruises on a Sunday and it’s a sister newspaper to I think The Telegraph in Sydney. I’m sure their ‘Doc’ would be able to answer your questions as well as the travel agent you booked with, or the actual cruise line you are booked on. Failing any of these – google your question and watch all the answers pop up.

  • The way you have worded the question I get the impression you have already booked your cruise.I can’t see why they wouldn’t provide a snack and milk. I would make enquiries now, via their information links, contact us link and ask any questions you have, or you can possibly contact them by phone. Some have a 1800 or 1300 number. If you booked via a travel agent you could ask them to make enquiries for you. If it is a cruise that has a kid’s club you are even luckier as most kids absolutely love it. I know one toddler age child who was asking to go to kids club. They have so many activities to keep them occupied for the whole day if that is what you wish. THey have the kids in groups according to their ages. Happy Cruising.

  • We are going on the Pacific Edan with p&o cruises.

  • maybe google reviews of what specific operators that you are looking at.
maybe their are some blogs or youtube videos of people’s experience onboard.
check out their website for info.
good luck! a cruise sounds so exciting! you are one lucky lady! :)
