Hello!

My dress arrived today. It smells like vinegar, it has 4 very noticeable black marks on the train and it doesn’t even look like the picture it is a completely different dress! Do I just put up with it or find a new dress.

  • I’m not sure where you purchased the dress but I’d definitely be returning it.

  • If you can , return it. If you can’t, it depends on the cost. I feel it was cheap, go get another dress. If it was expensive see what you can do with what you’ve got. Ie clean it, take it to a dress maker.

  • Aw that is disappointing ! I would return it ASAP, don’t wear a dress you feel unhappy about !

  • I would send it back…….get a refund or at the least get the seller to pay for drycleaning

  • Oh my gosh. This is horrible. Do you like the actual dress? If yes, I say get it dry cleaned. If not then maybe you should start shopping again.

  • Sounds like you purchased it without seeing it, I would return it ASAP & get your money back. There are some great bridal shops around were you can try the frocks on & then they make you your dress to your exact measurements & will get you back for fittings prior to the wedding if it needs adjusting. It’s your one day you want to feel happy in your dress so choose what makes you feel right.

  • Return it! You have to be happy on your wedding.

  • That sounds like you should complain to the seller. But definitely don’t wear a dress ou hate.

  • You want to feel perfect on your wedding day. I would find something else!

  • If you’re not happy with it, get yourself a new one asap! You don’t want to spoil your big dsy by wearing a dress that depresses you. Try returning it for a refund. Sadly, this happens all too often when buying online. I remember buying a few dresses online for my daughters leavers dinner. Not one measured up to the picture/description on the websites. We ended up going into a shop, looking and trying them on, she looked stunning

  • Send it back for a refund and start looking around for some wedding dresses that you can actually try on before you buy.

  • Indeed. You want your day to be special, so try to get a refund over that dress and then go shopping for another one.

  • It is your special day – so definitely get answers and get a dress that makes you feel happy and good in every way.

  • I’d look for another dress and try and get your money back on the one you have.

  • it is your wedding day, you want to feel your best. Is there some way of altering the dress if you can’t afford another dress? I would be looking for sales and going on a tour to find a new one. You have to be happy on your big day!
