Hello!

I have had some health issues and am in the process of rectifying them, losing weight and getting healthy. My goal is 20 kilos and a much healthier me by my birthday in June. 4 kilos down since New Year and already fitter, I can see myself struggling over the coming months – especially once Summer is over. For a birthday treat and (hopefully) a “reached my goal” celebration I’d love to go to a day spa or similar and ideally a retreat (although I may be dreaming!). I live in Tassie but am thinking a trip to Melbourne to see family could be tied in with a spa/retreat visit. I’m not looking for anything too full on – just relaxation, maybe meditation, definitely massage, healthy eating and also some inSPAration to keep me on track. Any suggestions welcome thanks!

  • Endota spa’s a national chair are great.

  • I have heard people rave about Daylesford. I believe it is around that area? They have been there and come back super relaxed and happy.

  • I live in regional Victoria and have never been able to find any retreats around Melb, however if you want a relaxing day spa and day out I would recommend Peninsula Hot Springs.

  • It really depends on what you are after in a spa retreat and of course your budget.
There are some really amazing places in Melbourne.
For a really lush experience, Japanese Mountain Retreat is great.
Or for a simple day spa in Melbourne CBD is Body Freedom Urban Spa Retreat.
Another option is to google Red Balloon as they have plenty of options and purchase a voucher. Other than that I suggest to googling various spas in the Melbourne area.

  • I don’t know either area, I’m sorry – if you don’t get any answers here, maybe start with a travel agent or phone book.
