Hello!

We are travelling this Christmas, anyone have any tips on making a hotel room with limited space more special for my kids.

  • Always tricky – look for decorations that hang on the wall – fold out tinsel banners won’t be hard to pack but can look special.

  • Wall decals. Tinsel. A small Xmas tree. One of those light things that sparkle light colour and shapes onto the walls and ceiling

  • Avoid the hotel room as much as possible, just for showering and sleeping if possible

  • doN’t use a hotel – use an apartment perhaps (often not much more expensive). Or airbnb. Otherwise take something like a tent for them.

  • Great ideas here. I love the miniature Christmas tree and tinsel idea.

  • Good topic!Really interesting reading the comments to this!

  • Christmas carols and lots of love, hope you had a wonderful christmas with them

  • Lots of tinsel everywhere will bring out the Xmas spirit.

  • A small fibre optic tree and some Christmas music on your phone. A nice Christmas dinner out somewherewould also be a nice idea

  • what did you end up doing

  • there are some good comments here

  • We had a miniture fibre optic christmas tree. It was so pretty and really helped to make our hotel room festive.

  • thanks for the tips. we are travelling next christmas so it’s great to have these ideas. i have also been told some hotels will put up a tree (and perhaps decorate the room a bit) if you request it.

  • the felt tree is a great idea – and good advice too about making sure you have something planned for Christmas lunch/dinner.

  • Hope it all went well for you
