Hello!

Does anyone have any easy, cheap things to do eat, drink etc to help you recharge, feel fresh, healthy, clean, relaxed etc. I have just lost my Dad, his funeral was yesterday and for the past month and a bit he has been dying from stage 4 liver cancer. I have also been planning my prophylactic mastectomy for the past 2 yrs and for the past 6 months its been full on planning and getting ready for it, which should be in the next 6 weeks.
I’m also a wife and a mum of a 6 yr old boy & 2 yr old twins and its just been a huge rollercoaster of emotions, trying to keep living, protect my kids, prepare myself for surgery and recovery and I just need something to recharge my energy etc before surgery and to help move past the last few months.

  • Eating healthy foods, light exercise, and socialising will all help to boost your health and wellbeing. All the best.

  • You poor dear I am so sorry to hear of your loss! & preparing yourself for surgery, you’re in desperate need for a break!
Is it possible for hubby to look after your wee ones so you can have a spa weekend?
You need to take some time out for yourself.
It is totally understandable for your emotions to be all over the place at the moment.
    Find things that relax you.
    Have a candlelit bubble bath.
Curl up with a good book.
Give yourself a night in with your girlfriends watching movies, doing manicures, pedicures & facials.
But most importantly, enjoy your family!
They will always be there for you & will do anything for you at any time.
I really hope things get better for you & your surgery is a success.
    May your father RIP.

  • Be kind to yourself.
Lots of water, all throughout the day.
8 hours sleep a day. Try some magnesium at night to help you relax (you can make your won magnesium spray to save money).
Keep your protein up, plenty of vegetables and a bit of fruit and nuts.
Avoid anything artificial, carbs, too much alcohol.
Have some fun with those kids!!

  • All i can do is put you in my prayers, good luck and God Bless you

  • Berrocca is great for helping you recharge

  • I’ve found eating fresh and clean has always helped me feel better. Things that are easy to digest and not overly processed foods.

  • Oh your poor love. You’ve certainly been through a lot, and more to come. And dealing with a 6 year old and twins as well, I’m in awe of how well you’ve managed to survive so far. I think that you must have a core of strength that you perhaps don’t give yourself credit for. If there’s any way possible, beg/borrow/steal so that someone can have your kiddies for a night or even for a few hours during the day. And pack a picnic for you & hubby, and go and have a bit of “couple” time somewhere like the beach or a national park. If that’s not do-able, bribe hubby into taking the kids somewhere for a few hours so you’ve got the house to yourself. Oil in a burner, some music that you love, soak in a bath or read a book, even just nap … whatever you’d love to do so you have a bit of “me” time, which I’m sure you haven’t done in a very long time. Scoff a chocky bar all to yourself. Try, as hard as it will be, to empty your mind of problems, even for a couple of hours. Take care and be kind to yourself. I hope things settle down for you, and that things improve. I’ll be thinking of you. xxxxxx
