Hello!

My husband and I both have a day off on our sons 2nd birthday and we’d like to take him out for a family day. Does anyone have any suggestions (both indoor and outdoor options) in Melbourne where we could spend the day? I’ve started looking into places but being a Monday, there aren’t a lot of options for us.

  • Head to your local park! Play equipment for the kids, often there are tables and chairs for you to sit at and sometimes barbecues.

  • He’s only 2, so really just spending time with him is the important thing here. He’s too young to remember an outing or trip. Keep it simple, have fun and just make him your focus fir the day

  • Some places have little kids farms. We have one in SA called Old McDonald’s farm. They have baby chicks, lambs, rabbits etc. The kids can hold them, feed them & sometimes ride the ponies. My 2 year old loved it

  • Check out a great website called Little Melbourne. It has information on a range of places and events that are great to do and see with young children. Amanda

  • Yes the Zoo is great and there are 3 around Melbourne. If it is a rainy day how about an indoor play center? They are heaps of fun.

  • Week ooh zoo.. Go to the zoo he will love it
