Is it ok to give baby Panadol to bub during teething? He’s very cranky sometimes… 7 months old.

  • Yes, but I actually found nurofen worked better as its an anti inflammatory which really helped with the gum pain. Just only use it when really necessary and never go over the recommended dosage. If you’re worried make an appointment with your GP.

  • Sure, Panadol for babies should be safe for your teething baby as long as you follow the guidelines. Some people or more keen to use Nurofen. The primary difference is that ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), meaning that it treats inflammation. Paracetamol does not. Nurofen isn’t such a innocent medication, the side effects of Nurofen can be more severe. Personally I chose not to give my kids Nurofen.

  • As long as you stick to the recommended dosages, it’s all good. I only ever gave it to my kids of a night time to help them get a good nights sleep

  • Yes definitely. Just keep in mind the maximum dosage.

  • I have one that doesn’t like dymadon either. Maybe I need to see if there is other flavours.
Regardless of age Nurofen should be given with or very close to food.

  • Yes you can , but just follow instructions.
I was lucky and didn’t have to give them Panadol much because I bought two items which my kids enjoyed and helped soothed their gums. I bought a packet of teething biscuits ( can get a bit messy ) and a teething rings where you can put it in the fridge or freezer. Both you can get a pharmacies and they provide comfort when they actually bite into something . Try these and you might find you won’t even need the Panadol .

  • Yes you can give them panodol while teething, but I find nurofen is much better

  • yes – you just need to get the 6mths – 2yrs panadol from the chemist

  • Yes most definitely. Panadol is one of the most gentle and safe pain relief on the market. I was even told when sick during pregnancy, take Panadol, it’s completely safe. I still didn’t use it much, just in case, but it must be pretty ok if medical staff recommend it during pregnancy

  • panadol or nurofen is fine. i like using panadol better for my kids

  • Baby Panadol is fine, you can also try a teething gel like bonjela to numb the gums.

  • Panadol is a great option – or if they don’t like the taste, try dymadon brand which is orange flavour. There are a lot of natural teething options available to help spread out the doses if you are concerned about using it too much – try Hylands teething tablets, cold washers were great too, but on a bad night – Nurofen was the only thing that would work for my kids! (and cuddles)

  • Yes absolutely, as long as its not being overused but from time to time it is safe.

  • Yes! Absolutely! Was a life saver for both of my kids!

  • Yes, it’s usually a first line treatment for pain. You can get baby panadol.
