  • I think it’s ok as long as it’s a relationship. You would rather her safe at your house instead out somewhere your not aware of. I think you need to be clear and set boundaries and explain that bringing a partner home has a lot of responsibility attached especially having a 14 year old in the house too. Good luck and I’m so thankful I have min 12 years before it’s our turn to deal with this dilemma. I know hubby is going to be like your husband and would need a lot of convincing.

  • I think so.. she is an adult so as long as she is respectful of others of course she should.

  • up to you. they are old enough. only if its real relationship. not a one nighter

  • You need to set the boundries …. Obviously she will sexually active is she using contraception? the 14 yr old is not that well informed or not that silly either. They need to be discreet. you should have a family meeting with out the BF there.

  • Glad I’m not at that stage yet. I dread it

  • If she was any younger I would say no. But 18 is different she is old enough to move out.

  • U can’t stop it at 18! If they don’t go to ur place who knows where they r going.

  • She is 18 bringing him home should not be a problem

  • Maybe get him to meet the boy… Might help.

Plus she will do what she wants elsewhere anyway. Be open an honest with her, she is an adult.

  • Considering she is an adult I would say yes that it is ok to bring them home. Whether or not they stay the night is up to you and your house rules.

  • I was 16 when my boyfriend started sleeping over. I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as they’re both respectful of the rest of the household

  • Bring home to visit, yes, absolutely, bring home to sleep over, no way.

  • Atleast she is honest and upfront about it. You need to trust her and allow her.

  • Nothing wrong with it. At least she was honest

  • I don’t think there’s anything wrong with an 18 year old having male friends, whether romantic or not, and just to have them over seems reasonable. I’m not sure about staying the night! I doubt it would be negative for the sibling to have a male friend come over for a visit. Plenty of teens have friends of both gender. My dad was very very strict and it just made me leave home in a huge rush so I think trust is the key, if you trust your daughter, your husband should trust you.
