I ordered a light box from mylight and have heard nothing from them about receiving my payment or sending the light box. I cant even log in to my profile on the website it says my email and username are not registered to an account but it previously worked.
I have no idea what is going on and am getting very worried since it was $150
what should i do?

  • Report it to consumer affairs. They’re about the only ones I think could help you now

  • Have you tried contacting them by phone or email? Even the best systems screw up. How did you pay? If it was by credit card or paypal you should be able to stop the payment or get a refund, if necessary.

  • Never heard of Mylight but pleased to read all worked out for you.

  • I’ve heard great things about Mylight – heaps of blogger I read have promoted them before. Many businesses close down for the holiday period – I’ve placed some orders for boxing day sales that are just starting to senf emails now, maybe just pop a little message on their Facebook timeline asking for help

  • They should have some sort of customer service number somewhere in their website call that number. If that doesn’t work dispute the transaction through your bank

  • If you paid via PayPal open a dispute (I only try to ever buy online if the seller uses PayPal) otherwise just keep sending email after email to them. I had to do this once with an old art supply company I use to buy lots from, they are no longer in business, and after 3 weeks of persistent emails and threats with Consumer affairs I got my money back and later found out the company was struggling and had done this to a few customers. Just keep hounding them until you hear from them and when they do send it demand a tracking number so you can track it yourself. I hope you get it soon I know how great light boxes are for my has an artist :D

  • Literally just received the shipping confirmation email 3 mintutes ago.

  • I did email mylight on more than 1 occasion before posting this, and have now received a reply confirming my mylight order and telling me it will be shipped as soon as is possible. I am now just waiting for email to tell me it has been shipped.

  • That is correct there should have been an email sent out as soon as the order was placed. Our customers are notified via automated email there is a very small percentage that have their notification go to their junk mail box. We have been operating for over 5 years this would have to be one of very few customers who claim they have heard nothing.
    Our contact details are clearly displayed on our website and have a very active fb fan page of almost 40,000 fans we can be contacted through. It surprises me that someone would go straight to a forum to discuss this without coming to us first?
