  • Not much difference in my opinion. I agree with covering up whilst changing the nappy. In general all kids are different.

  • In my case boy was bigger than girl but don’t think that’s always the case. Also when changing nappy you need to cover down there otherwise everything gets wet (not only the bottom) if there is an accident.

  • I believe its easier to raise boys than girls especially when adolescence hits. Boys seem to sail through whereas girls have mood swings, are catty and lippy. However it does balance itself out later in years.

  • I would not have believed it before I had kids, but there’s a huge difference. Not so much in pregnancy or birth, but from about 18 months my daughter started behaving so differently to my sons, despite the fact we worked hard to treat them pretty much the same.

  • At some point your boy will wee in your face when you take his nappy off.

  • They are totally different! I never thought there was much really but it’s really interesting seeing what they’re interested in and how different they can be. I really like have boys and girls because when I get tired of dress up and role playing princesses and shopkins, you can play with diggers and trains. Just makes it more interesting I think!

  • with my son, when he was a baby, the only difference was his chest and shoulders were broader than the girls that i was used to. (oh besides the obvious lol. ) it took me awhile to feel confident with nappy changes because it was just so foreign to me. i asked the nurse if there was special care for boys and she said no, lol

you will love having a boy! congrats to your family!

  • Cant wait for this little blob aka boy to arrive!

  • Thank you very much for all your comments, will do my best to enjoy!

  • Congratulations! You must be thrilled to bits. I had a lovely little girl for the first bub then a gorgeous adventurous boy for the second. Boys tend to be a bit more inquisitive and on the go a bit more .Yet on the other hand some mums I know said the exact opposite. It will all sort itself out . Best of luck.

  • Yes every child is different and it depends on their personality. But with mine (2G, 1B) ive founf my boy much more ‘chilled’ or willing to go with the flow in the early years. Yes he’s very active and on the go – but it took him a lot longer than my girls to get that independent, defiant stage and from my experience boys develop language later than girls. My boy is still very much a cuddler and hates the threat of being in trouble, where as my girl very early tested the boundaries and didnt really care for consequences :p
It all evens out in the end…….so good luck and enjoy.

  • I only have one child – a girl, but even with girls personalities can vary a lot.

  • I have two boys and they are full on all the time, but sometimes I can get them to sit down and do some craft.

  • it really depends on the child. both have their own little quirks, likes and behaviours.

  • Enjoy the new addition to your family! :)
