I am 100% not pregnant but I have not had my period this month. I am stressing out and I don’t feel any symptoms of it coming on. I recently had my car break down (will cost more than it’s worth to fix so now I have no car) and a few other things have been so stressful so my friend said that it could just be that. Have you been through this and did your period return next cycle?

  • Stress can interrupt the cycle, also if you are underweight periods can stop. My friend went through a very stressful time and her periods ceased (she was also boarding being underweight). Other things could be medical but you probably would have been aware by now ie polycycstic ovaries, endometriosis, menopause, thyroid issues (a friend with thryroid peoblems only had 1 to 3 periods a year!). I think 23 to 35 is a normal cycle so could be your body playing tricks on you

  • Stress can certainly upset your cycle but I would go and see your go to put your mind at rest

  • I’d say it is definitely stress related, as you sound like you have a lot going on at the minute. This has happened to me before – i worried about it so much I couldn’t sleep at night. It returned as normal the next cycle, so if yours hasn’t returned by your next cycle I would definitely see your doctor.

  • I had a similar thing this month actually, was even really light. I got told, the more you focus on it, it will mess with your head (great way of putting it LOL). But, if you end up being a week or two overdue, get tests done and just be certain. It could be stress, it could be diet, it could be sooo many things, or if your hanging out with girls all the time, syncing can mess with it badly.

  • My body does weird things when it comes to stress and I have had irregular/ no period.
If you are worried and it’s not normal for you, maybe visit your GP or call the after hours health care centre in your area for advice :)

Treat yourself to a nice warm bath!
    Everything will be fine.

  • If you’re ALWAYS regular, I’d wait another week then go see a doctor (or even ring up the free after hours GP helpline just for assurance!) and just go for a checkup. I am fairly regular but then moved and my diet got away from me, added a few Kgs and my cycle went HAYWIRE, honestly our bodies though very resilient can be quite vulnerable to small changes. I’m sure it’s nothing to be too worried about =)
