Hello!

Hey mummas! Someone close to me is finally pregnant after 8 cycles and many more losses. I’ve noticed that there’s only a few people supportive and the rest talk behind her back.

Mummas, what is the best way to turn this around and get these negative Nancy’s to be kinder? Thanks!

  • Unfortunately you can’t change other people. I would just continue to be there for her yourself

  • What a wonderful friend you are. Nasty people are just that nasty! So try ignore them and just focus on being her friend, her true friend. Share your excitement with her. Best of luck to her and big congratulations also

  • I don’t think you will be able to change the options of the negative, just focus on the positives with your friend. Congratulations to them

  • I’d straight up call them out for being rude!

  • Maybe be open and tell how are you feel

  • That’s so sad to hear. You’d think they would be more supportive.

  • I am an IVF mumma, and it is true that you see who your friends and family really are during the struggles.
I sometimes felt like I was annoying people if I spoke about my journey or my losses. But I have since realised, real friends will listen and empathise and support and cheer you on.

She doesnt need unsupportive people, she needs positivity and love. I imagine she would be full of stress and anxiety when for most, its a time of excitement.

Help her to destress, have a ladies day at the spa, get your nails done, a massage, a girls night in etc.

I know I just wanted people to be happy for me.

  • I think it’s most important to look to your own responses to her and speak positively about her. You can’t turn negative nannies around, they need to do that themselves.
