Hello!

Ok so I was having a think today and wondered, Where does everyone store eggs? Does anyone know where you are meant to store them? I always keep mine in the fridge, but I know at the supermarket they are just on the shelf and also at the egg farm so just wanted to know.

  • In the fridge, especially during summer as they would be a breeding ground for bacteria and food poisoning!!!
    I haven’t seen a supermarket stock them on the shelves in my area, they’re always kept in the chilled section.


  • In the fridge as it’s just easier with storage and keeping them away from the kids


  • In the fridge,they last longer that way,i used to have ducks and they gave us plenty of eggs,so i used to store them in order of being laid

    I’ve never had an issue & my eggs always taste great.

  • In the fridge in the carton is best for eggs, especially in summer.


  • Eggs have a shelf like of about 6 weeks so check the use by date carefully. . In India, and they leave them on the kitchen bench and no one seems to get sick from them. I think it is a personal preference but I keep mine in the fridge.


  • you don’t need to store them in the fridge. We mostly have ours in the fridge as I don’t have room on the bench top for them.
