I’m not sure that keto is a long term diet. It may help shift weight in the short term, but I think having such a high fat diet would have a bad impact on your organs (viscal fat). Talk to your doctor and/or other health professionals before starting extreme diets if any kind. They may want to do blood work and other tests to check current levels of everything in your body, then comparing periodically.
No it is not good for you at all. Keto is not meant to be used long term it is very dangerous to stay on it for long periods, you will end up with health issues. You will be better off on a wholefood plant based diet, low in fat, low in protein, high in carbs (only wholefood carbs not processed).
Absolutely, yes. If done correctly. Too many people misunderstand the requirement to balance macro-nutrients in a particular way, focusing on high fat, moderate protein and low carb. The best book I read on the subject (after reading several) is called “Keto Clarity: Your Definitive Guide to the Benefits of a Low-Carb, High-Fat Diet” by Jimmy Moore. You really need to arm yourself with sufficient information before embarking on a keto journey, because if you don’t understand how it works or what is most important, you will struggle.
Bottom line is, YES it is a fantastic way to boost health, lose weight and keep it off!
Yes everywhere you turn there is something about Keto. Really I think you have to look into it, see whether you can actually follow it and is it worth it for you? Will the rest of the family be doing it too and what are you going to do it for? Keto is not just weight loss but can be used for health problems too.
